It is the beginning of a new and exciting era for business application software: The logical evolution of technology has arrived at the point where companies' HR software requirements can be fully met by assembling the right mix of components from multiple software developers that are purpose built for an open interchangeable component architecture. CET maintains a collaborative Commercial Component Registry to list developers component products. The assembly model is enabled by a metadata standard developed by CET to provide guidelines for component development, repositories and registries. The standard is the HR-CSAS (Human Resource Component Software Application Standard) first published in 2002 and is updated with input from the business and software communities. |
